Welcome to Lovelylight Images.
Born and bred in the mountains of Wales, I travel with my camera and specialise in the landscape of water. Inspired by the sea, rivers and lakes I have spent my life in or around water.
The Royal Navy gave me experience of the wide ocean and subsequent training as a British Sub-Aqua Diver and instructor took me beneath the waves.
Walking and scrambling up the steep and craggy slopes of the hills, especially the Cambrian Mountains, provides me with a constantly changing landscape – the rain sees to that. Lakes framed by the mountains cannot fail to impress.
Sailing and racing boats is a passion and provides the opportunity to see the landscape from a normally unseen perspective. The coast from out to sea and mountains from the middle of a lake take on a very different aura.
